About the Western Branch
The Western Branch is one of the nine branches of the Yorkshire Association of Change Ringers (church bell ringers). The branch represents towers and ringers within the old West Riding of Yorkshire from South Huddersfield through Calderdale (Halifax), Bradford, and into the Yorkshire Dales. At the last count, we have 61 churches with a ring of 5 or more bells, and over 400 ringers spread amongst them.
We take pride in being one of the more active branches within the Association and we hold monthly events, usually on the 3rd Saturday. We also have a monthly 12 bell practice at Bradford on the 2nd Monday, and a 10 bell practice at Marsden on the 3rd Monday.
