Yorkshire Association of Change Ringers

Western Branch

Welcome to the website of the YACR Western Branch.

Western Branch is one of the nine branches comprising the Yorkshire Association of Change Ringers. The branch covers a very large geographical area stretching from Burton-in-Lonsdale (or Sedbergh?) to the north, Dewsbury to the east (but not Cleckheaton, Birstall or Batley!) and Holmfirth (or Friezland?) to the south (there is often debate over the boundaries!!). It's often said that the branch is as large in area, and in number of towers, as many other entire associations!
