Saturday 20th March: Western Branch Training Day
Starting at 10:00 and due to finish at 18:30.
The annual training day, this year it's based at Bingley, therefore other towers will be in that area. Please download a form (link on home page) if you wish to attend.
Various courses from first steps in plain hunting to more advanced methods on 6 & 8 bells. Something for everyone – no-one will be turned away!
10.00-10.30 Half-hour theory session
10.30-12.30 Training Session
12.30-2.00 Lunch (own arrangements)
2.00-4.00 Training Session
4.30-6.30 Tea and AGM at Bingley
Optional evening ringing at Bingley (on the simulator), or at Bradford Cathedral will follow.
Application forms are available from WB website or any committee member. Return to Alan Trebble by 20 February please.
Lots of experienced ringers are needed as helpers, so please put the date in your diary. Thank you.
Saturday 27th March: Training Day Follow Up (Longwood)
Starting at 14:30 and due to finish at 16:30.
Longwood Ringing Centre (Huddersfield) is running a follow-up session for those who have been Training Day students.
There will be an opportunity to practise plain hunting, Plain Bob (Minor and Major) and Grandsire (Doubles and Triples).
The session starts at 2:30pm and finishes at 4:30pm and there is room for a couple more students.

April
Saturday 10th April: Late Starters trip to Yorkshire Dales
Starting at 10:00 and due to finish at 16:00.
Late Starters are ringers of any level of ability who first learned to ring when they were 'that little bit older'!
There is a social element to their events and though they like to ring well they also like ringing to be fun.

Saturday 15th May: Western Branch Striking Competition: Addingham
Starting at 14:00 and due to finish at 22:00.
Same venue as last year, but even bigger and better!
Sunday service band contest and ‘fun’ competition
Bar, barbecue, games and activities throughout the afternoon and early evening.
Detailed information to follow, but keep this date free!
August
Friday 13th August: Weekend Trip to Scotland
Starting at 00:00 and due to finish at 23:55.
13-15 August 2010 - weekend trip to Scotland: Friday 13th (evening) Haddington (8); stay in Stirling Friday night; Saturday 14th (morning) Alloa (8), Stirling (6). Branch peal attempt at Inverary (10), followed by general ringing and evening meal. Sunday 15th Glasgow Cathedral (10) and Paisley (8).
